A Dreamy Outdoor Newborn Session Under the Willow Trees
Springfield, MO Lifestyle Newborn & Family Photographer
On May 24th, I had the sweetest pleasure of capturing an outdoor newborn session that felt more like a peaceful family stroll than a photo shoot. If you’ve ever worried that you’ve missed the “perfect” window for newborn photos—this session is a gentle reminder that it’s never too late.
Outdoor Newborn Photography: A Calm & Natural Alternative
While those first few days with a newborn are often highlighted for studio sessions, an outdoor newborn photo session offers something uniquely special. The natural light, open space, and relaxed pace create an environment where baby (and parents!) can feel at ease.
This sweet session took place under dreamy willow trees, with the family feeding ducks at the pond and enjoying a slow walk through a lovely park. It was a beautiful blend of connection and calm.
A Darling Newborn and One Proud Big Brother
This little girl was absolutely darling—snuggled close in soft wraps and soaking in the sunshine. But it was her big brother who may have stolen the show with his infectious smile and joyful energy. Seeing the early sibling bond forming was a moment I’ll never forget.
Thinking It’s “Too Late” for Newborn Photos? Think Again.
If you’ve missed the newborn studio window but still want to capture these early days, an outdoor newborn session might be exactly what your heart is craving. I’m currently booking summer sessions and would love to help you create your own peaceful, love-filled memories.
